I know some of you have iPods and want to know how to put your CDs on the iPod. Well, if you are like me you have to ask an expert. That is why I asked my daughter make these instructions for me. I thought I’d share them with you here. Thanks Katie.
Insert the CD of your choice into the disk drive.
Open iTunes

iTunes icon
Click on the CD in the left pane.

Notice the songs from the CD.

Click on the + sign in the lower left corner, then name your Play List.

Click Music in the left pane, find and double click the album you just ripped.

Select some or all of the songs you want to add to the iPod.

Drag the songs into the Play List that you created earlier.

Click on your iPod in the left pane, select the Music tab.

Click your Play List, then click the Apply button in the lower right corner to move the songs/play list to your iPod.

Here is a good question from a reader about her flash drive that will not read.
Question
“I checked on your site but had no luck…my flash drive all of a sudden stopped being recognized by ALL computers..is it broken/corrupted?? Is there any way to get the data off of it? I’ve since purchased a new one that works great and is being recognized by my computer so I know that it’s not my computer”. Maria
See my answer below
Maria,
If you have tried to read the flash drive in several different computers, then I would say that the flash drive is broke. Since it is a solid state device, then recovery of any data is probably not possible.
I am sorry for your loss and hope that the data on the flash drive was backed up. One of my rules for data storage and back up: Flash drives are not back up storage devices.
Happy computing,
