Friday started off users calling or emailing with the usual problems. However, today the solutions were obvious and easy. These kind of problems/solutions make my job easy and frustrating at the same time. Here are some of the incidents and solutions.
- A Dell GX110 locked up and not responding; rebooted.
- User could not log into a Precision 390; user not typing in the correct pass-phrase.
- User said printer did not print the margins correctly; margins were not set correctly in MS Word.
- User could not install a printer on their computer; user was not in the admin group.
- User could not use blue tooth on his Dell Latitude D810; blue tooth was on, user had the icon in the system tray hidden.
Sometimes the obvious is hard to see, and sometimes the answer is a simple one, but thats what we tech support people get paid to do.
