However, sometimes all the tweaks just won’t get the computer running to its peak performance. Now maybe the time to think about a reinstall of your system. Even if you do all the right things, sometimes a reload is the best option, especially with Windows XP.
Before you reinstall Windows, back up your data! A reload will erase everything on the hard drive.
You will also need to set a few hours aside to reinstall Windows and then reload all your programs. Make sure you note your network/internet connection settings.
I also recommend that you download and run Belarc Advisor. Belarc will comply an inventory or our computer and will make it easier to re-install all your programs.
If you decide to reload, go to Microsoft.com or Google to find instruction on reloading your system.
