Many of my readers are bloggers and have their blogs hosted at free blog sites like blogger, wordpress, and others. Free blog sites are great and server new bloggers very well. But for the experienced blogger who wants move features, control, design freedom, web hosting is the way to go.

Web hosting is very affordable, even the blogger with the smallest budget can host their own website or blog and have all the benefits of web hosting.

So why don’t more bloggers use web hosting to host their own blog when the benefits out weight the cost?

1. They think it cost too much money.
2. They think it is too difficult and requires advanced tech skills.

Like I said, web hosting is affordable; some large hosting companies have hosting plans that are less that $5 a month.

Hosting your own web site is a lot eaiser than one might think. Good web hosting websites have great instructions, web hosting tutorials , and online support.

You can learn more about cheap web hosting at http://webhostingrating.com/articles/. If you are a blogger or want your own web site, I recommend that you look into your own web hosting.

How Do I Stop My Password from Showing Automatically?

user name and password fill in automatically

When you go to a website where you have to login, does your user name and password fill in automatically?

If you are the only one who uses your computer, it may not be an issue. But if you share the computer an/or have only profile, then you may want to disable the auto fill of your user name and passwords.

Computers in public places like hotels, librarys, business centers, etc, may have the browser set up to remember passwords, either by ignorance and leaving the default settings or by unscrupulous employees.

Here is how to stop Internet Explorer and Firefox from remembering your user name and password

Internet Explorer (IE)

Open Internet Explorer.

  • Click Tools and select Internet Options.
  • Select the Content tab.
  • Click the Settings button under AutoComplete.
  • Clear the check box beside the User names and passwords on forms option.
  • Click OK.

Firefox

  • Open Firefox.
  • Click Tools and select Options.
  • Select the Security tab.
  • Clear the check box beside the Remember passwords for sites.
  • Click OK.
