Use the Pin to Start menu Option in XP

There are several programs that I use every day and I don’t have time to go digging through the All Programs menu to start them. That’s why I use an option in XP called “Pin to Start menu” to keep my most-used programs at hand.

There are two ways to pin a program icon to the Start menu.

The first is to go through the Start menu to All Programs and find the program you want to pin. Once you find the program, right click on the program’s icon and select “Pin to Start menu” . Your program is now pinned to the Start menu.

The second way to pin a program is to simply drag the program icon to the Start menu.

That’s it! Your most-used programs will now stay on the start menu and will not be replaced.

In my free report, A Computer Tech’s Best Kept Secrets, I show you how to speed up your computer without spending any money using free software and a few secret tips.

However, the best way to speed up a slow running computer is to add memory. Adding RAM will most certainly speed up an older computer, a computer with a lot of memory hungry programs running, and any computer bought with minimal RAM installed.

You will need to spend some money for this upgrade, but the good news is that RAM is very cheap and dollar for dollar is the best upgrade for a computer that runs slow.

I get memory upgrades for all my computers and my clients’ computers from Crucial Technology. Crucial is the best online computer memory retailer in the industry. They have the widest selection and rock bottom prices.
