I like to be able to see the pictures when I am looking for images in Windows Explorer. Unfortunately, the default thumbnail size is too small to see the images easily. Luckily, there is an easy way to adjust the thumbnail size in XP.
Download and install Tweak UI from Microsoft at
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx.
After installing Tweak UI, go to All Programs, Powertoys for Windows XP and open “Tweak UI”.

Navigate to Explorer, Thumbnails. Adjust the thumbnail size, in pixels, to the size you want.
