VLBO: Vacation Rentals By Owner Hard Drive Crash–another sad story
Jul 28

Friday started off users calling or emailing with the usual problems. However, today the solutions were obvious and easy. These kind of problems/solutions make my job easy and frustrating at the same time. Here are some of the incidents and solutions.

  • A Dell GX110 locked up and not responding; rebooted.
  • User could not log into a Precision 390; user not typing in the correct pass-phrase.
  • User said printer did not print the margins correctly; margins were not set correctly in MS Word.
  • User could not install a printer on their computer; user was not in the admin group.
  • User could not use blue tooth on his Dell Latitude D810; blue tooth was on, user had the icon in the system tray hidden.

Sometimes the obvious is hard to see, and sometimes the answer is a simple one, but thats what we tech support people get paid to do.
