Trade in your old computers and electronics
If you are like me you have some old or unneeded computers and other hardware just laying around. Now you can trade-in your old computer gear and get paid.
Best Buy now has a trade-in program where you can find the value of your equipment online and then ship your item to the Best Buy trade-in center with prepaid shipping. Then you will receive a Best Buy gift card in the mail for the value of your trade-in.
You can also recycle old items that do not have any trade-in value. Instead of shipping your item to the trade-in center, you will ship your item to the recycle center with a prepaid shipping label.
Monitors like this old CRT monitor that I have have harmful chemicals inside and should not be put into landfills.
There are charities that can use working computer equipment. Some charities will pick up the items at your home or office. Consider donating you stuff before recycling them.

Thanks for the information! I am definitely going to check this out, as we have some old electronics laying around the house. Our town is having a recycling drive this weekend, but if I can make a few bucks that would even be better!

This is really a good idea for getting cash instead of exchanging your PC for a new one. This way the person can customise his new PC according to his needs.

while it is a good idea for some, eBay will get you more money everytime.
