The other day I went to an office to replace a serial keyboard and mouse with a wireless set. To my horror, I found a keyboard and mouse that looked like it belonged in mechanic’s garage and not an office setting.
As you can see by the photo, the mouse is covered in dirt from several years of normal use without any cleaning. The mouse is covered in dirt from the user’s hand, not axle grease, industrial chemicals, or any other than “dirt”.
It only takes a few minutes to clean your mouse and keyboard every week with ordinary cleaners. The office keyboard and mouse are probably the dirtiest thing in the office building including restrooms and can be spreaders of germs from user to user.
Keep it clean!

I read an article in the paper the other day about some reasearch that was done.
Turned out a keyboard and mouse of a computer house more bacteria than the average public toilet.
Ugh!

My son loves to sit at his computer and snack while he plays games. That mouse and keyboard get so filthy! I’ve taken to swabbing the keys and mouse down with rubbing alcohol a few times per week. I wonder if that Clorox hard surface disinfecting spray would work on them? Do you know?

Wow that mouse is really gross. I read somewhere that it’s a good idea to replace your mouse and keyboard once in awhile to avoid growing a bacterial bomb at home.
