Keyboard shortcuts are invaluable time-savers that you must know. Using keyboard shortcuts is quicker, once you know them, than making the same commands with a mouse.
Not just for Microsoft Word, shortcuts can be used in any Windows XP or Windows Vista operating system tool, utility or program and most XP and Vista compatible programs. So it pays off to know the shortcuts because they are almost universal.
Here are the shortcuts that I use the most often and think are Must Know shortcuts.

| Refresh active window | F5 |  |
| Display or hide Start menu | Windows Key |  |
| Switch users | Windows Key + L |  |

| Open My Computer | Windows Key + E |  |
| Search for file or folder | Windows Key + F |  |
| Minimize all windows | Windows Key + M |  |
There are many other keyboard shortcuts, but these are the ones I use most often. Post your favorite or most used shortcut.
